Margherita Minto

Margherita was born painting. Before learning to speak, there was already the need to represent what emerged from within. Color, form, image have always been her natural language.

She trained as a Master of Advertising Graphic Art and Photography, and later attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. There she learned technique, but never lost the instinct: to paint because it burns inside, not out of obligation.

Life led Margherita to set painting aside for a while to start a family. She moved to the countryside searching for calm, roots, silence. But the universe had other plans. In one week, the house burned down and was flooded by a sudden flood. Fire and water. Total destruction.

That was the message. Clear, brutal, without detours: the universe found it necessary to dismantle Margherita's life so she would return to art. Its way of saying "this is not it".

Since then everything changed radically — Margherita moved to the city. That house lost in the middle of the countryside, claimed by fire and water, has been transformed into her atelier. A sacred place made of ruin and rebirth.

Today Margherita dedicates herself only to her daughters and to painting. They are the roots, art is the breath. The loss was a disguised gift: the universe removed everything that was excess to force a return to essence.

Margherita paints from there: from the fire, from the flood, from the moment she understood that the only path was to create.
